INFORMATION SERVICES DIVISION
The Information Services Division maintains the department's mobile data system and associated programs such as Field Based Reporting (FBR), Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) and other mobile data functions including wireless chat, email, call status, query and response from WEAPON (West Virginia Automated Police Network). In addition, the Information Services Division is responsible for overseeing other technologies used in digital fingerprinting, photographing and interfacing the Field Based Reporting component to the department's central Records Management System (RMS). The division also serves as a liaison between the police department and the city's Information Systems Department. |
